We are not the most expert as far as smoked sausages are concerned, but it is not the case of the Germans, who in addition to their recognized product, have summoned the First Grand Prix of the best sausages which will be awarded by the German Butchers Association (DFV) to the highest quality artisan product, whether national or international.
The event will take place within the framework of the IFFA, the World Fair for the Meat Industry, in Frankfurt (Germany) on May 10 at the fairgrounds.
Products that reach a minimum of 80% score will be awarded a medal and a diploma, and those that in three of the four categories, raw sausage, boiled sausage, cooked sausage and other prepared products, achieve the maximum score according to its preparation and characteristics, appearance, color and composition, consistency, smell and external taste, will qualify for the First Grand Prix of the best sausages.
Anyway, a contest that we are surprised that has not been developed before, although in particular, it is not one of the products that are usually found in our refrigerator, unless they are really German.
Who do you think will win?
